Exercise-How much is enough?

Exercise-How much is enough?

Everyone knows it's important to exercise. But how do you gauge if you are working out too much or too little?

As a rule of thumb, if you can still talk and walk at the same time, you are definitely not working out hard enough. You can still push yourself a bit further, but not to the point of becoming breathless - that's a sign that you're over-doing it. The accepted gold standard for exercise is to work out with in your target heart rate, which is 50-85% of your maximum heart rate. Check out the chart to know your target heart rate and average maximum heart rate.
