Remember that you are never too old to exercise; but you're too old not to!

The benefits of exercise are universal. Although physical progress may come slower with age, health rewards are the same for both young and older adults. However, extra care is necessary when considering fitness regimens for seniors. A medical clearance [approval from your doctor] becomes very important as problems with physical abilities and medical conditions usually show up. The type of exercise appropriate for older adults would depend on the individual's health status, fitness level, physical limitations, motivation, commitment, objectives and interests. Normally, most seniors can participate in standard fitness programs, with some modifications though. But careful exercise programming would ensure a safe and enjoyable exercise experience.
